I've always loved Shelly. She represents Everywoman, in her films and in her life. I remember, years ago, reading about her experience filming 'A Place in the Sun', and having to be Miss Plain Jane to Elizabeth Taylor's blazing beauty. It was so hard for her, but she gave a wonderful performance, and went on to give many,many more. Great lady.
