Horror film fans, these are your weekends
 

Saturday and Sunday evenings this weekend and next, Raleigh Studios in Hollywood will be hosting the 5th annual Shriekfest Film Festival, an international horror/thriller/SciFi/fantasy film festival and screnplay competition. There will be dozens of films, both shorts and features, being shown in block across the 4 days between noon and about 8PM starting times. You can buy tickets for single blocks or packages of multiple blocks.

We will be there to view one block, which consists of a single feature length film, Guardian of the Realm. It's a sci-fi adventure full of demons, demon hunters...and of course, a demon hunter headquarters receptionist (who happens to be my cousin :D ). That's a 6:15pm this Saturday, the 17th

So come on out and shriek if it's your thing, and support these film makers!

Don't forget, there's also Screamfest L.A., October 14-23 at Loew's Cineplex on CityWalk.

In addition to that, there's a Book launch party for "Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete Story of Friday the 13th", complete with a special 25th anniversary screening of Friday the 13th, meet & greet and autograph session with alumni from the series, and Q&A with Sean Cunningham (creator of Friday the 13th).
