Which Airport should I fly into???

I still have to buy my plane ticket for MouseAdventure weekend. It will be around $ 200 for round trip, which is alot cheaper than driving to Disneyland. I will be flying down Saturday morning.

So which is a better Airport to fly into- LAX or John Wanye??

Thanks-- :D

John Wayne is far easier and far closer to Disneyland. So unless there's a huge savings by flying into LAX (unlikely), go for John Wayne. Alternately, check Long Beach. Even easier to go out of/into than John Wayne, about the same distance, and often cheaper.

I was trying to answer the airport question this weekend.

For me, LAX looks like the best choice, because I can get direct flights into there. John Wayne required a 2.5 hour layover in the hearland and NO break in price.

If I could get a direct flight, I'd choose John Wayne though because it's much closer to the park (Thank you, google maps).

Also, we've had much better luck with short security lines at smaller airports. No wait at SNA and DSM!

That's why I love Long Beach. A single-room terminal where the security point is literally a bungalow. No hassle at all. I've shown up there with less than 5 minutes until boarding (thanks to a shuttle driver who got lost picking someone up) and had zero problem getting through.

I love John Wayne airport- it's a much faster drive to DL, and it's much cheaper for a taxi or shuttle. Plus, the take off and landings are fun!

I personally hate SNA. It feels larger than LAX to me. I adore Long Beach but also like LAX quite a bit. I wouldn't go beyond these three.

Thanks everyone for all your info!!!

I'm flying into SNA on Saturday morning. It's alot easier to check into & it's closer to Disneyland.
