Pompeii in Chicago

Oh, dearie dear, I really WANT TO GO SEE THIS. I have not been able to find out if it is traveling anywhere wlse in the US.

Pompeii in Chicago at the Field Museum

It looks absolutely awesome, second only to my traveling to Pompeii in person. Maybe not, maybe the food is better in Chicago? ;)

Eh, been there, done that ;)

Hmm, food in Chicago (hot dogs, pizza, ribs - pretty tasty) VS. food in Italy (parentheses fill with saliva).

I'll take Italy, Atkins be damned.

If it helps any, Itallian bread sucks.

I'm assuming you mean in the bad way. ;)

Well, I can attest to the food in Chicago being top rate and the Field being an incredible place to view an exhibit. But, damn, I don't think we have any trips planned soon.

Oddly, I've heard that before... what's the deal?

Despite what you may have learned from Italian restaurants in the US, Italians aparantly prefer their bread rock solid and inedible. Who knew?

I loved Italian bread! We had the best picnic on the train from Florence to Zurich which consisted of coms crusty bread, some cheese, different types of olives and a bottle of wine. Soooo good!

Oh, stop! I'm starving!

I'm willing to trek to Chicago for the exhibit and the food. Yes, I'd rather be in Italy, but that is not in my immediate future!
