Graphic artist job opening

In case anyone's interested, I just heard that my company's looking for someone to design postcards, flyers, etc. for the Monarch Beach office. Full-time job with benefits. Pay is probably around $15/hr, not sure. Must be able to work in Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. PM me for details.

$15/hr. for a Graphic Artist? They must have low expectations!

It doesn't sound like they are looking for an artist per se, but someone with photoshop and other graphic program abilities that can do as their told......

At least that's my take on it.....

my thoughts exactly. I don't even think anyone can live on $15.00 an hour down in that area...to me "down below"...LOL

Well $15 an hour is $31200 a year before taxes. Despite popular belief you can live on that in south county. It's very hard but doable.

That said it does seem like they want someone to generate what is given to them.

But at $31200 a year it is a semi-decent foot in the door.

I do graphic art work - and $15 an hour is actually insulting. Isn't that what they are paying at In n Out nowadays?

No offense or anything - but you'll get what you pay for. Someone who says they know it - but can only do a few things in the program sort of thing.

Unless - you outsource. Sorry to say it - but look into India and you'll get someone for that or less.

And yeah - you could live on $15 a hour - but you'll have to rent a room from someone and/or not have car payment.

If you're not into India, you might look to a local college with a soon to be graduate or someone who can work for you during school breaks.

Umm... gee. I get $15/hr as a recruiter, and it's the most I've ever been paid for a job.

Yeah, they're looking for someone who can generate decent flyers and mailers for agents in the office.
