The Snake and the Hamster can be friends.
It's a big week for dippy animal stories, I guess. Anyway, this is cute, or repulsive, or both.

Great, now I have "The Farmer and the Cowboy Can be Friends" stuck in my head...
The article I first read mentioned that the snake was yards long, good to see that Yahoo lists the size as 4 feet. |
One day they'll look into that cage and there'll be only one of them left. One huge, overstuffed hamster.
:D |
That's not necessarily so far from the truth.
I used to have snakes. Once the blacklight had failed and I didn't realize. This resulted in a somewhat stuporous snake with no appetite. Seriously it went three weeks without eating. The first time I put the mouse in to eat, I didn't pay much attention because the snake had always been a good eater and wandered of before being sure of the kill. When I wandered back several hours later, the initially terrified mouse had completely calmed down and was attacking the snake every few minutes. Fortunately it had yet to do any damage but my vet told me I was lucky since he'd seen quite a few snakes mauled by lunches left in the cage and eye injuries are especially a risk. (Until we figured out the UV problem I was required to render the mice unconscious before he'd spend the energy to eat them. I won't go into how that was accomplished.) |
Cool! A new Japanese word to add to my vocabulary. Gohan means Meal.
How kawaiiiiiiiiiiii! |
