RIP - Fayard Nicholas

The lights of Broadway and Hollywood are dimmer today at the passing of the legendary Fayard Nicholas. There will be a great tap dance-off in heaven tonight. Awesome performers both he and his brother Harold. They were oh so talented and very cool! :snap:

A little sadder today for the loss, but bright with memories.

There was a cool MTV making-of video for Janet Jackson's 'Alright' video a long time ago. The Nicholas Brothers had a short cameo in it (along with Cab Calloway, Cyd Charisse etc.). At one point someone asked them what they thought of Janet and one of them said, 'She's good, but not as good as us.'
I thought that was funny.
:D

Man, the truth really hurts! :D

They were, two of a kind. To my mind, the only modern era dancer who came close was Gregory Hines. This is, of course, after Fred Astaire. The greatest American dancer of any generation.
