Mousepod v2 Episode 1 - Snow White

If you haven't heard it yet, you must - go to http://www.mousepod.com at once and have a listen.

I just wanted to say, hats off to Mouspod for pulling off this spectacular podcast. And I wanted to also say, that I truely loved the segments featureing some of the folks who regularly post here.

LSpoorEyorick - your story of meeting Adriana Caselotti was so moving, and I can't believe I hadn't heard it from you before. God I wonder what tales you have waiting to tell us in the future.

Flippyshark - just loved your story of seeing Snow White with a more contemporary audience, and how the story is still moving today. Kudos as well for suggesting the Tom Waites version of Hi Ho.

I can hardly wait for episode two.

Since that Mousepod's really got his boots on when it comes to Disney, and is one of the coolest cats we know, we're making it even easier for all you to stay hip his show. Keep your peepers on the Disneyland and All Things Disney forum for announcements when a new episode is ready.

Big snaps to the hep cats above for letting me spike the LoT punch with my little show.

Here's a new twist to the MousePod that's going to start immediately, if not sooner:

Every show, I'm going to have a segment where I'll check in with Disney park experts (not necessarily CMs, just fans) who will share "on topic" park info for a couple of minutes.

I have my WDW and Hong Kong DL experts ready to go - and have a couple of great leads on Tokyo and Paris. For Disneyland? That's right. It's you.

Rather than pick a single Disneyland expert from among you talented people, I'd like to have a revolving cast of characters, so you're not precluded from sharing your stories or memories.

Stepping up to the plate for Pinocchio this week is Not Afraid (applause). There's lots of cool Pinocchio related stuff in the park, so she has a lot to choose from (what will she choose???).

But who's going to be the DL expert for Oliver & Co? The Rescuers Down Under?

Put on your thinking caps, folks.. this is going to be fun.

Hee hee. I guess I do sit on stuff, don't I? I've got a couple of other interesting stories to come as I hope to be a semi-regular contributor... but none quite as personal as this one. (Though my thoughts on Ollie Johnston at the Cinderella panel last November... I'm looking forward to telling that one.)

I love the new format, too! It is most excellent. And I encourage everyone to share their stories!

For next week's cast... the best thoughts I've come up with for Pinocchio are LoT-appropriate but not 'pod appropriate (what with that "clean" label on iTunes.) Having to do with the Jiminy Cricket cartoon series "I'm No Fool." To wit: what would Jiminy be doing now if the series had continued? "I'm no fool for terrorist attacks"? "I'm no fool for childhood obesity"? "I'm no fool for auto-erotic asphyxiation"? Ah, but I kid.

Damn, I completely forgot to post about this earlier!

Loved this show. Heidi, that was an amazing story! You bring such drama into the show, it seriously rocks. :snap:

Flippyshark's segment was awesome too. It's fun to hear voices I don't usually hear. :)

The show definitely inspired me to step up to the plate in the Pinocchio show. Great job everyone, especially Jesse, who has to corral all this madness! :)

I need to find time to listen to these...

Oh, and let me know when you get to Alice!
