HAINES CITY -- Mrs. Alzina C. "Ina" Pocquette of Haines City, whom family described as a giving, dependable person, died of respiratory failure Friday (Feb. 3, 2006) in Davenport. She was 88.

Born Nov. 3, 1917, in Farwell, Mich., Mrs. Pocquette moved to Haines City from Lima, Ohio, in 1980. She was a homemaker.
With all due respect to Mrs. Pocquette, I don't quite get why this is big news. Am I missing something?

Well, she sounds like she was nice and all.

It's hard to find giving, dependable people these days.

Maybe she was the last of the homemakers?

Someone at the wire service put the wrong tag on it, most likely.

I googled her. Couldn't find anything.

When I googled just the last name, I found a website belonging to a classic hot rod restorer named Mike Pocquette operating out of Haines City. He seemed to be rather famous in the world of classic car restoration....if there is a world of classic car restoration.

I like all of the other answers better. ;)

Oh, sorry.

What I meant to say is "The article forgot to mention that the woman had a vagina that could not only build a house but eventually populate it with a family. In most places she was considered a myth, but in Haines City she was a legend. Following news of her death, Mayor Bob Poquette said 'she put me in my house which she built with her own nethers. She'll be sorely missed.'"

You forgot to say how nice she was.
