Arrested Development tonight!

Heads up, there's a 2 hour Arrested Development special on tonight at 8:00. Interestingly (and probably meaninglessly), the website is calling it a "Season Finale" rather than a "Series Finale".

You know, I have to take some of the blame for the shows cancellation.

I love the show, think it is one of the best things on TV and still can't be bothered to actually watch it when it airs. It's a sign of the changing times that I just end up saying "eh, I'll catch it all at once on DVD."

I find myself doing the same thing with other sitcoms I like (My Name is Earl, Scrubs) but not hour long dramas where I know I'll never buy the whole season DVD.

Exactly. I've heard great things about this show, but I can no longer be counted on to watch something week-to-week. I much prefer waiting till an entire season is on DVD, and then watching it all in a row over a few nights.

So, now that Arrested Development is bidding the world adieu, perhaps I can catch the entire series that I missed, one day soon on DVD.

When I actually know when it's on I watch it. They change the time practically every week. I really really hope the show comes back somewhere. I stand by my statement that it's the best show ever.

Geez, people, get with it and buy a DVR! ;)

I only say that because ours was a gift.

innerSpaceman 02-10-2006 05:17 PM

Yeah, and then I'd also have to subscribe to cable TV. Um, $40-$60 bucks per month vs. my $19 Netflix per month.

Do the math.

I have the bare minimum $13/month cable necessary to get the cable broadband. Now, it isn't my fault that for the price of the package that is supposed to get us channels 2 through 13 we actually get 2 thorugh 71, but it still doesn't come with DVR.

I do have a PVR for my computer so that I can watch news while working in our computer room but I never actually watch the shows I record on it so I stopped.

Vs? Netflix is as necessary to me as cable, which is as necessary as the TV itself....yeah, born and raised a junkie.

DSL
Netflix.
Direct TV

In that order of importance.

No DVR. I don't even have a working VCR. But, you'd better belive I have an all-region DVD player.
