Or maybe I should say OLD man on campus. I'm in State College, Pennsylvania, visiting with various advisors and faculty, trying to figure out just how I am going to make this mid-life return to school work. Penn State is a beautiful campus, and the rolling hills, currently denuded of leaves, are a far cry from my home base in swampy, sunny Central Florida.

It is COLD! Sixteen years at Disney World have made me a complete temperature wimp. I'm told that we should expect four inches of snow tomorrow, so I will get to work out my shoveling skills.

Okay, this isn't a particularly compelling thread, but I wanted to post at a familiar place just to feel a little more "at home." Wish me luck.

Damn - keep yourself warm man! Here I am steeping in my own workplace malaise and you've skipped off to another state - most people our age just get a sports car. You are my mid-life hero.

Best of luck to you! You picked a pretty isolated place to go to school though, but they do have a fantastic creamery. I've been to State College several times for fencing matches.
