Juuuuust in cast there was any doubt about Johnny Weir's sexuality...

...read this article from the Washington Post.

So like Brent Mullins said, "Oh Johnny, we need office pools to determine how GAY you can be before you actually Say It!"

As Chris said the other day, he's so outspoken and tranparent on every other thing, why isn't he out?

Personally, my gaydar doesn't hit the high scale for him. I think androgynous is a better description. Or, maybe he's a trannie or saving for a sex change. Whatever it is, he's not simply gay.

Yes, complex gender issues scream (but are drowned out by all the other freaking issues this man has).

Ghoulish Delight 02-23-2006 12:24 PM

He's a poser in so many other ways, it wouldn't shock me in the least if he were just poser effeminate, not actually gay.

Not Afraid 02-23-2006 04:41 PM

I swear, he's NOT gay. My 'dar is bretty damn good (I've been wrong twice in my life) so I'm willing to trust it. Having other issue, well, duh! He's a piece of work.

I agree with NA...
My gaydar isnt usually that wrong.

But, I agree with ISM too... there are way too many issues here to pin down just one.

the guy strikes me as too into himself to prefer either men OR women. his mirror and walk in closet are far more his speed I suspect.

hence.......by definition, not gay....not straight by a LOOOONG stretch...but technically not gay.

I tend to view people who are either into themselves to the exclusion of other folks of other genders, or are so androgenous so as to not have a sexual identity outside their own bio gender, to be homo by default.

I agree- Andy Warhol springs to mind here.
