Speaking of board games...

Random PSA thought:

Thinking of the Monopoly pieces made me remember that classrooms have old board games they pull out for rainy days. I have so many board games at home that I have no more storage space. I'm going to check if anything that I'm willing to give up could be used by the school.

I urge you to check your closets and donate simple board games to your local elementary school.

Thank you :)

They'll never get my Haunted Mansion Clue game. Never!
:D

Good idea, CP!
:)

Great idea CP.

If schools don't want them child care places will probably take them. If all else fails seal the boxes up and donate them to charity.

I only have 3 board games. 2 monopolies (regular and Disney) and Life. I can't figure out how to play Life (no comments from the peanut gallery please) so it really should go. CP, if you're there at the Pirates meet I may bring it for you to take to school. If I remember and don't get distracted by shiny objects.

When I work for a educational facility I used to just LOVE all of the people who wanted to donate their "valuable art supplies" (ie: trash) to us. While I appreciated the gesture, the stuff was not at all of value to us 99% of the time.

All of my "trash" goes to Out of the Closte and even then they only take usable stuff. The rest gets left for random pickup.

I would hardly compare complete rarely used board games to trash.

I have a few board games. Monopoly, Sorry, Stratego and Life, I think. How come no one wants to play these anymore?

I think we should have a Swankster Monopoly Tournament!

Game night is a great idea. We have quite a few and don't play them as often as we used to.

But, this ain't gonna be our April swanking. ;)
