Or just blind luck?

The camera is just past the "hyperspace" tunnel- the vehicle turns toward the camera

Otherwise it might have been at an unflattering moment.

I noticed later that no one was ... how shall we say... getting in any target practice. Evidenced by laser pistols still in their holsters. ;)
