PotC event - park hours
 

Due to the PotC movie premier event, the following schedule changes have been made:

Saturday, June 24th

Disneyland hours:

6:30 am - 5:00 pm (hard close)

Disney's California Adventure hours:

10:00 am - 11:00 pm

no early entry on June 24th

early entry for 6/15 is rescheduled to 6/14
early entry for 6/22 is rescheduled to 6/21

as always, subject to change without notice.

Hmmm that's an early close - but I wonder if this would enable a geek quest?

And that's a late closing for DCA. I don't think DCA has been open that late for a LONG time.

Other changes are that Fantasmic will be dark from the 17th to 28th. Parade of Dreams will be dark on the 24th, as will all of the Main Street vehicles. Obviously there will be no fireworks.

I think celebrities got the better of the deal last year, when they did see fireworks after hours. I'll bet Remember will turn out to have been far more entertaining than Pirates 2.

Let's hope the CMs get the better end of the stick this time, and aren't corralled in uncivilized conditions - - all crowded into Village Haus restroooms in the dark, or some such place.

That's when we are down there, and I wanted to do the balcony thing for my MIL, who has never been there. No Fantasmic???? Merde!!!!!!!!

I thought the ride (POTC) re-opened on the 22nd. Is that no longer the case?

The calendar shows POTC as officially closed until June 26 (Monday). It almost certainly won't be open before June 24 for the premiere (though maybe some testing); no idea why it wouldn't be open on June 25 but maybe they have plans for inride stuff for the celebs that will need time to take out. Or maybe they're just hedging and it will be open on the 25th.

Well, this just sucks.

The calendar had said the 22nd for re-opening, although I knew that was a soft date and subject to change. Having a premiere attached to it puts it a bit more firmly in stone, so I guess we'll have to hope that we can sneak in a preview before we split town on the 24th. Crappity-crap. The MIL loves the movie, and I was really looking forward to showing her the actual ride, even if it is was adulterated. She wouldn't have minded- she loves Jack Sparrow.

I'll make a call, see what I can arrange.

I would love to be there at 6:30 am. *le sigh* It would mean leaving here waaaaaaay too early.
