Saltair was awesome! (That's the first one, everyone.) When we were in San Francisco we stopped by what used to be a seaside resort and was now a ruin. I got the exact same vibe from being there as I got from your movie.

Thanks, when I lived in utah I had a childhood obsession with saltair, I learned everything there is the know about the place. When I made the movie I wanted it to be a mini-history of the place. That was also one of the films I submited to filmschools around the contry, and what got me into CalArts. The other was Atmosphere.

Oh and the movies are:

1. Saltair: A Last Resort: A movie about theold Saltair Resort on the Great Salt Lake.

2. Atmosphere: A rip off of a Joy Division video

3. Eternal Stuggle: Just watch it, you'll laugh

4. Alegoria: One of the first videos I made at CalArts, it is okay, kind of freaky and weird.

Hey not to totally get off the subject here but I checked out your myspace page and under tv shows you had Pete and Pete listed. That was one of my favorite shows!!!!! You are now uber cool to me for reminding me of Pete and Pete.

Yeah I just bought season 1 and season 2 of Pete and Pete on DVD, it really was one of the strangest and coolest shows on TV in the 90's.

Tito's Kitten 04-12-2006 03:02 AM

Yes and with the coolest guest stars like Michael Stipe as the Mr. Tastee (I am not sure that is right???) guy, Juliana Hatfiled as the lunch lady, Luscious Jackson playing the dance and one of the girls dancing with older Pete, and even Iggy freakin' Pop as a somewhat regular!!! One of my favorite episodes is when little Pete started the garage band. Or the wonderful marching band episode with the squids!!!! Damn I am going to have to go out and buy the DVD's this weekend.......
