A ride that even I might be hesitant to ride...
Check this out - http://www.kermismovies.be/new/?a=view&b=484
It's kind of like a cross between a couple of different rides, a Starflyer (which there's only one of in North America - it ROCKS) and a Skycoaster (Dive Devil at SFMM is one of these). :D |
oh 773H yeah! I'd do that in a heatbeat!

We have something that looks kind of like the Starflyer here in Orlando, not as high, but same idea. (And pretty damn high, hence not on my to do list.) It's located in a cheesy little "theme park" on International Drive, which is so lame it doesn't even appear to have a name. They've got the usual Sky Coaster and Bungee thrill devices, and they added what I've been calling the "Yo-Yo in the Air" just a few months ago.
I get kind of uncomfortable just on the standard carnival version of that ride system, as the flimsy little swing-seats and thin little chains seem pretty insubstantial for my bulk and weight. (Indeed, I could not even fit into the seat on the Orange Stinger.) Where is the one Starflyer in North America? |
I'm on it. Looks awesome.
|
The only Starflyer in North America is at Magical Midway on International Drive :)
Here's a page about the Starflyer. |
Now if they could cross that with the MaliBoomer then they might have something...
|
The Starflyer does go up and down surprisingly quickly.
|
Hell yes.
I would TOTALLY go on this, but I'll have to go with Capt Jack and scaeagles because my husband would never join me. You offer me the ability to fly - I'm fcking THERE. |
You guys gotta try the 300 ft. Skycoaster in Kissimmee, Florida - tons of fun :)
|
the starflyer looks pretty cool but you're sitting upright so you'd instantly lose that superman-esque (supergirl-esque?) quality the first one has.
damn that looks fun |
