Two Billionth Guest

It was an exciting moment this morning as Disneyland welcomed the Two Billionth Disney Guest to the Magic Kingdom.

Emmalee Mason, 12, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, became the honorary two-billionth guest to ever visit a DisneyPark just after 9:00am today at Disneyland in California. To commemorate this milestone, 50 years in the making, Emmalee was presented with a giant golden "Key to the Kingdoms" and a lifetime pass to all 11 Disney Parks at the five Disney Resorts in Florida, Japan, France and Hong Kong, in addition to Disneyland Resort in Southern California.

I have a good friend who lives in Seattle, and who recently paid me a visit here in Orlando. He has very little use for Disney theme parks. (I dragged him along to a couple of them anyway.) I remember thiking that it would amuse the heck out of me if he were to win just such a prize.

Emmalee is absolutely the luckiest kid on the planet! How I hate her.

I'm always a day off from these things, I went yesterday.

There are drawbacks to being an APer. No way they'd give one of us a big ol' key.

Eh, they wouldn't give it to an adult either.

But does anybody know what guest population Disneyland itself is up to, as opposed to "all Disney parks?"

Is it bad that I briefly wanted kids for the sole purpose of them potentially winning such prizes?

Is it totally wrong of me to just hate this kid?;)
