The Great Platform Switcharoo

Well, I'm going to do it. I'm switching platforms after 15 (or is it more) years of love with a PC, I'm going to buy a Mac.

There is a 15" MacBookPro just waiting for my credit card number which it will get sometime next week.

I'm excited but I'm also scared to death. This is a MAJOR change for me, but there are so many similarities between the 2 platforms I shouldn't be so worried.

So, 10 days from now, my old life will come to an end and a new life will start.

WHEEEEE!:D

And I will scavanging parts - Arrrrrr

LOL! First purchased PC specs - 40 megabytes, 30Hz.

First PC purchased specs: vic-20 with tape drive.

You'll have the people coming in here and supporting your decision. I hope it works out for you, but I'm afraid I have to withhold support. Over the course of 8 years I've watched Lani have a dozen times more trouble with her Macs than I've ever had with my PCs. But if it give €uro parts to poach then something good will have come of it. (Plus, I'd rather the world have one Bill Gates than a dozen Steve Jobs so I like to put my money in his pocket.)

(By the way, this post isn't particularly serious, I don't care which platform people buy.)

Well, that's cool.

I've always had a PC for no better reason than this is the platform used at work.

All my friends who have macs, love them.

Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your life...

I'm one of the loyal zombie mac minions, so I say "Welcome, comrade." Anyway, I have had very few problems and many many good times with my macs over the last decade or so.

Gimme a buzz if I can help you with anything.

Mac and PC... both are fine.
It's like Coke and Pepsi for me. Same thing to me, big deal for other people. Everyone should learn how to use both.

Coke totally rules! From my experience, you can drink Pepsi and still tolerate Coke, but if you drink Coke you're less likely to tolerate Pepsi.

GC, you must usually buy Pepsi, right?

To be specific, I usually buy either Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi. But I usually buy whichever one is on sale at the time at the grocery store. They alternate, I've noticed.

I also noticed that Diet Coke has more caffeine than Diet Pepsi. I get much more wired off of DC.
:)

Ralphie's sister is trying to get me hooked onto Diet Dr. Pepper, that's okay too in my book.
