facebook.com?

Is anyone using this site? I'm starting to see it show up more frequently in the company router logs. I visited the site but apparently you have to be "on the list" to get it.

Should I be blocking this? Using this? Ignoring this?

I don't use it, but from what I've seen of it, its a more respectable sort of myspace thing. Myspace is Jr. High/High School teenyboppers. Facebook is more college.

I'll be sticking to Myspace, then. [/lech]

I think facebook requires an .edu address.

If you block MySpace then block Facebook. If not, they are pretty much the same thing.

MySpace make me want to rip out my eyeballs and boil them in oil. I'll sooner eat my own fingers than join MySpace.

BarTopDancer 06-05-2006 08:35 PM

What exactally is wrong with MySpace? Ya, kids use it. So do adults. I have one and I am not the only person on this board to have one either. I keep in touch with old friends and current friends.

Then again I joined out of family obligation and it grew from there. My cousin is one of the founders. So maybe I'm a tad biased.

I've heard the same. They also say that Facebook is really popular in certain areas while MySpace is popular in others.

I am involved in neither. I don't even have a blog and my livejournal (aka Blog 0.1) goes untouched.

Am I old?

Never heard of facebook and MySpace is a bore EXCEPT when I am looking to hear music. MySpace Music is one of the best ways I know to hear songs by bands I am interested in but not ready to commit to purchasing. Otherwise, I find it pointless and rather smarmy.
