On the road (again)
 

or California Here I come!

Movers came yesterday, I'm cleaning and packing my travel crap and misc crap that did not get packed. Friends coming by tonight for the TV and furniture they are taking away. Tomorrow it will be me & Tango, on the road for Sunny California! YAY!

Tango, while chatty, will not be entertaining enough for me on the road. Not 2800 miles worth (!?!?!?! harrumph she says) and I'm hoping by day two she will settle in a sleep a good deal of the way (dream on she says). I have my iPod loaded with music and Disney-related podcasts, and 5 Elizabeth Peters Amelia Peabody novels. I'm going to load on Madame Bovary too, even though I know I am way behind in the LoT book club.....

But, if you want to track my progress, get an update to make sure I've not crashed or call to say, meh, I don't care, my cell is 540-272-0392.

I'll be shutting down the PC later today, and wanted to make sure I said bon-voyage to my LoT friends and I hope, that some of you, I'll be seeing real soon!

Well that shoots down my plans for a grand LoT meet on the National mall. :( next month....

Good luck you two, get lots of fluids and plenty of sleep... Oh wait, that's for a cold and probably not the best advice for driving. Drink lots of caffeine, drive like a bat out of hell, and remember slow people deserve to be lashed repeatedly with your horn. That's what horns are for.

I just talked to Snowflake (and Tango) from Nevada! I can't believe they are that close to the Promised Land! The drive is going well, Tango is being a trooper and things have been good. She's going to spend the night in Reno since last night wasn't all that restful. A dinner out and some shrimp treats for Tango will prepare them for the final leg of the journey.

I can't wait to meet up with them in their new home!
