		Doug Fir:

Got the chance to go for a quick drinkie (pink lady martini) here tonight and I freaking loved it!! There's an old school motor hotel, the Jupiter, wrapped around this two level bar/restaurant. You get a discount at the Jup (wink, wink) if you save a receipt. What was cool was that the balconies of the Jupiter were teeming with hot people dancing. So weird for a Sunday night in Portland.

The bar itself is soooo cool.

It's like being in a Twin Peaks ski lodge in the 50's.

Here's a review I found:

This combo of slick '50s lounge and rustic mead hall draws a diverse crowd for live tunes and late-night noshes.
The Scene
Exposed fir beams and a winding wooden bar are illuminated by chrome light fixtures in otherwise retro-mod decor. Rough-edged rockers huddle in vinyl booths, while a swanky Eastside cohort indulges at the blond-wood counter. Everyone is cast in flattering indirect light, amid brassy beads and gold-tinted mirrors.

The Draw
Downstairs, a 300-person music venue conjures music hounds seven nights a week. Upstairs, a huge menu of Northwest comfort cuisine and knockout libations satiate pre-show partiers and after-hours clubhoppers. Tasty eats like flaky halibut fish and chips, meltingly delish crab cakes and fire-grilled artichokes are great to share over saucy blackberry cosmos. Heavier faves like the meat loaf or biscuits and gravy will help bring you down after a long night of cocktails and clubbing. The best part: The menu is served 21 hours a day.
