The Second 50th
 

Is on Monday. There hasn't been much talk of any kind of gathering or anything. Is everyone working? Is anyone going to be there? I'll be there with MickeyD.

Does anyone care or is everyone over celebraing the 50th again.

I've been wondering the same thing.

Monday works better for us.

Oh, most definitely Monday. It is not only Disneyland's Birthday - a day at the Park I've never missed in 28 years - - it is a Magic Kingdom First! The Second Fiftieth Anniversary!!!!


I'll be there Sunday as well. Disneyland Birthday means a hotel room in Anaheim. I'm not even sure I'll make it into the Park, tho. I'll probably stop by the MiceChat drink up at the Hearthstone, and maybe try to catch fireworks from somewhere.


But Monday's the Big Day, and I want to have fun at Disneyland on its Birthday!

Last Sunday's spectacular LoT meet notwithstanding, I don't intend to have the wind taken out of the sails of Disneyland's 2nd 50th.

I will not be present.

Jennifer and I will be there.

Why "Second 50th"?

Monday.

Because the birthday celebration from the 50th is still going on.

Nearly 50 fifties throughout the park, gold decorations everywhere (including gold original ride vehicles and their photo-opp counterparts), 50th anniversary photomosaics still everywhere, Sleeping Beauty Castle Bling still overlaid, Disneyland 50th Birthday film still playing at the Opera House, and the 50th Birthday 'Remember' fireworks still pyroreigning with Julie Andrews still intoning, "Fifty Years Ago ..."


It's the second Fiftieth. Huzzah!

I have a technical issue of getting to/from the park, but I've got the 17th and 18th off from work (16th, too) :)

I propose a lunch at Cafe Orleans. For 5 parties of 5, which would be easier than one party of 25 willing to be split up.
