No one does interpretations like Shatner - and I think that's a good thing.

Now I'm thinking of his more famous Lucy in the sky with Diamonds, and also i has brought to mind Leonard Nemoy singing the Ballad of Bilbo Baggins.

Hysterically funny.

Ghoulish Delight 07-13-2006 11:57 AM

Ah, but have you heard his Mr. Tamborine Man? Yikes.

Prudence 07-13-2006 12:35 PM

Ooooh! That was fun! I dig that multiple image crap!

However, my friend was not so amused. His response for subjecting him to that? "Next time I see you, I'm going to punch you right in the ovaries." Alas.

I used to be in possession of both the Shatner album and the Nemoy album with the songs I've mentioned. I long ago lost or misplaced them.

I wonder if any of their stuff is on any music download sites.....I might just have to look into that because it's pretty funny.

I still have the copy Of Nimoy's Outer Space - Inner Mind that I bought in 1974!

Cadaverous Pallor 07-13-2006 07:19 PM

Back when I stole music I found a lot of Shatner/Nimoy floating around. I recently deleted them from my iPod when I realized that they didn't make me laugh anymore, they just annoyed me.

The end of Shatner's Mr. Tambourine Man is not to be believed.

I love this video though - saw it before. I can't believe the Family Guy bit was real!

Stewie's version is worth linking to:

Amazing how some things require no exaggeration in order to be parodied.
