Cemetery Screening - July 29 - Manhattan
I'll be there for this one. I love me a good Woody Allen.
So anyone else making it to this one?
Tempting. I haven't seen this one.
As tempting as it sounds, and as good as my back is feeling, something about an hour and half drive + 3 or 4 hours of sitting on or near the ground doesn't sound like something my doctor would recommend. :( Damnit my back better be feeling 100% by the 5th.
No, Woody Allen depesses me.
I'm gonna finish watching Blazing Saddles, here - then it's time for a trip to the tattoo parlor :D
GOD! The sound was so good last night and the Gershwin score with Allen's lovely shots of New York City was spectacular! I'm so glad we made it last ngiht. It has been years since I've seen this film and I forgot how many fantastic, hilarious lines it contains. The crowd was wonderful and friendly and our seats were among the best I've had. Diane Keataon is just brilliant in this film, Allen is on and Streep is so beautiful.
A few gems: Quote:

Wow, I'm so sorry I missed this one. :(

I think the crowd had a fare share of NYC ex-pats, the opening sequence of Manhattan through the seasons got huge cheers.
Um, drop a dollar bill anywhere in L.A., and of the first 50 people to walk by it will be NYC ex-pats.
But it sounds like that was a sweet moment. As an ex-pat myself, I might have cried upon hearing the other ex-pats cheer. |
