Tonight I will smash a guitar
Tomorrow I will call and harrass a random person at the electric company about my high prices, just because it will make me laugh later. Thursday will bring a random person we met at IKEA over to our house, probably to sell us something. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday are open, but I plan on doing something completely unique to me on those days as well. I encourage you all to do the same.
For all you musicians, I will explain that the head of the guitar has already snapped off, and I am not killing a good instrument. I'll take before and after pics. I'm off to feel like a rock star. What does your week have in store? |
It must be either the alcohol, or the stage euphoria, or both, that makes smashing a guitar look like so much fun. In real life it wasn't that fun. I also realized that I can only upload pics from Michael's laptop, which he is currently programming on. I might get around to it later, but I'm sure you can all picture a smashed up guitar.
Hopefully tomorrow's adventure will be more thrilling. |
Trashing a drum kit is much more fulfilling.
|
I imagine so. Alas, I am not married to a drummer.
|
Trashing a drumkit WITH a guitar tops it all :D
|
Smashing ANYTHING is fun! You must've done it wrong :p
|
I think my expectations were probably too high. I've been anticipating it for like five days. Plus, I was all alone. Michael was too wrapped up in work to watch. I think I should have sung a rock song and smashed it during the guitar solo. :p

I went to a Green Day concert, and the band got like 3 people up from the crowd to play instruments.
They had a guy play bass, a guy play drums, and they found this kid who could play guitar. After this whole thing was finished the guy with the bass made a total ass of himself. He ran around the stage and then started smashing Mike Dirnt's bass, ultimately he got escorted off stage and booed. Though the kid with the guitar got to keep the guitar. |

Power went out for 2.5 hours yesterday at 2:45PM. I called and they very clearly informed me that they had no idea why the power was out and when it might return. Except that last night at 2AM, our phone rang. It was a recording from Edison informing us of a planned outage at approx. 2:30PM on Monday, to end no later than 7PM. So let's see. 1) Why the fvck was I getting this call at 2AM? Did some genius put "AM" instead of "PM" for when it should call. And 2) If I'm getting this message about this planned outage, why the heck was I told that they didn't know why the power was out or when it would come back on? *Err, not to say you don't have good reason. Just that my reason for griping went beyond being annoyed at my ridiculously high bill |
Smashing a guitar alone without music is like having a five-course meal in an empty apartment. What a missed opportunity! :)
