While the software to rapidly link all the photos together are interesting I'm more interested in the technology that will allow a crawler to identify the location in a photo without any hand tagging (which is what the guy says in the video). Especially given the amount of noise that will be in most pictures (such as different crowds of people or foliage in trees changing with the seaons, different lighting, etc.).
That's more impressive to me than something that stitches them all together once identified. |
I wonder if this will help me track down people who have stolen product photos from our website and have used them as their own. I've come across 2 by accident - but that just tells me that there have got to be more. But at this point, there is no way to search for like images unless they have the same file names (unlikely).

Betty, there are a couple search engines out there that can find photos by similarity to a source photo. I haven't used one in a long time but I can try to track them down.
