Screw Newspeak! (commonly referred to as "political correctness") If your culture condones the killing of any gender (and I'm looking at you too, China!), your "culture" is FÜCKED UP! :mad:

What a relief that a person in power is working to change this.

Honestly don't they know they can make a killing selling their daughters to brothels before they reach puberty.

I wonder which would have a better chance of success:

Remove the stain of gender killing by discouraging people from getting an abortion simply because it is a girl.

Remove the stain of gender killing by encouraging people to abort more male fetuses.

I'm glad the PM is taking a stand on this, but, good luck in changing the culture. that will take time.

While he's at it, can Singh do something about American obesity? ;)

I'd rather he take on clitoral-circumcision in Africa. I frankly don't care if they abort every other fetus in India - - they are fetusus (fetusi?), not humans.

I don't agree with the cultural criteria for abortion, but there are real atrocities being committed against women world-wide because of gender. I really can't get worked up about fetal termination. I'm much more concerned about actual people.


I don't think there are a whole lot of Christians in India ... so perhaps they are operating under that absurd notion that you're not alive until you're born.
