This I believe

I've been following this series on NPR, getting the RSS feed whenever it's update.

Essentially it is a collection of essays by people famous and ordinary about their beliefs based on a 1950's Edward R. Morrow radio series that NPR revived. The site has the collection of essays which you can read or listen to as well as some links to essays from the orignal program.

I love the focus and diversity of thought as contributers are asked to capture their basic beliefs in 350 to 500 words. The God thread made me wonder if we could give this concept a go, and maybe capture our beliefs beyond the existence of God.

I've been to wishy-washy to contribute, but I've wanted to - perhaps some of you might take a stab at it?

Ah, I see Frank Miller (Batman Dark Knight Returns / Sin City /300) is up on the main page.

Very interesting. And something to consider.... Thanks E

On the god concept, if you haven't heard it, listen to the Penn Gillette one. It captures large parts of how I feel on that particular topic.

Yeah, definitely a good idea. Count me in, €uro.

I love this series! Like you, I've wanted to contribute, I even went so far as to start a piece for submission, but then I left it.

I enjoy this series. With all the doom and gloom we hear everyday, it makes me feel positive and hopeful for the future. I've been listening on the radio sporadically, thanks for the RSS link!

I have heard a few of these on NPR, but thanks for the link - a lot of these are really great, and now I can get these on my ipod!
