Genie - long overdue epitaph
 

I found myself thinking of you the other day.
Why? I'm not sure.
Something about the way I was dressed,
It felt as if the outfit begged for bangles,
Large clacky bangle bracelets.
And it made me think of you.

There are so many enduring images of your time in my life.
Humpty dumpty with a soft-boiled egg and crayon
The way you loved to use the jacuzzi when you visited our house
Cottage Pie
And your bracelets.

I thought of you the other day, and I found it odd,
For you've been gone over 10 years now.
And yet, my lack of bangles with an appropriate outfit,
Made me think of you. And I smiled.
