Keys To The Kingdom

awesome Dream comes true for Ohio family

Ohio family wins grand prize -- an empty Magic Kingdom

Matterhorn Fan 10-05-2006 08:40 PM

Hmmm.

Capt Jack 10-05-2006 08:55 PM

fishiness aside, it sounds like a really cool experience from the description but having people around you is half the experience

Matterhorn Fan 10-05-2006 09:03 PM

Sounds like a cheap promotion for the park. I'm not sure I understand why this is the "grand prize." The article doesn't even say if the rides were open.

Who's the creepy midget?

With all due disrespect to the apologist O.P, I offer this quote from the link:

Hmm, ML, do you owe me a churro for my wild, outlandish guess that the big winners would be cute nuclear families, with nary a single mom in sight, much less a nose-pierced, tattooed lesbian?

Meanwhile, on the other coast where the shamelessly RIGGED stunt is not happening, Disneyland is so far getting a black eye from the fan community for it's stunning Dreams Come True of table service at Pizza Port and reserved seats at the last-minute, walk-up section of Fantasmic.

So far, year-of-a-million ripoffs is going .... hmm, exactly as I predicted. Insuting gifts given to the masses, and rigged grand prizes going to Mr. and Mrs. Cleaver, Wally and the Beav.

Well, at least I got a smirk from seeing all the DisneyParks merchandise already on the shelves at Company D.

I think that is Wendy (kneeling) from Peter Pan.

I heard that they were escorted by 1,000 Cast Members and media.

not offended - no worries. no, i don't owe you a churro - i never disagreed with your prediction (at least i don't recall disagreeing). but, i would be happy to buy you a churro anytime... two even - you can have mine :-)

i realize that not all fans are pleased with the new campaign. i get it. some folks love it - some loathe it. would i rather that every single Guest have their Dream Come True? you bet! nothing would make me happier.

all i can do is my best, every day, to help the Guests that i have contact with enjoy the best Disney experience possible.

oh, and i wish you would let me in on next weeks lotto numbers;)

Sure, they got the park all to themselves.....and a thousand other people.

Reminds me of the offer from the back of a cereal box....Free! Just send in 4.95 for S&H!

Also, I'm not sure this "Grand Prize" had anything to do with the Million Dreams promo.
