A toy for Coastermatt

This pretty damn cool, not sure if I'd ride it though!

That was pretty detailed. What was the purpose? A model for a new coster?

Disneyphile 10-13-2006 10:48 AM

That's sweet! :D

Not everything needs a purpose.

I got the KNEX set for a roller coaster for my birthday like 5 years ago. I was so excited (It wasn't NEARLY as big as what they built..it basically went up, went down into a loop, then turned and went back up).

I spent like 3 weeks working on it. My fingers were like exploding from all the pressure I had to use to snap those pieces together.

I go to run it..and it doesn't work. I could never get the damn coaster go through the loop. It always got stuck.

What they built is fricken amazing.

Sure, even if it's purpose was just to see if it could be done, or for fun, or because they want to do it. But there a reason why they did it.

I spent closer to 5 weeks.....I finally got it to work but only after a score of frustrating tear downs and rebuilds.

The one in the video must of taken months to build...wow!

For some reason, three attempts to reply to this thread have gone goofy...

If you wanna see the coaster model that I'd REALLY like, check this out- I've seen a couple of these sets put together to make AMAZING coasters - but at 200 bucks a pop that gets pretty 'spensive pretty quick.

You mean this thread? A toy for coastermatt? Yes, but I was just wondering who built it, and why. Was it for fun, or an actual model for a real coaster? The YouTube didn't seem to say other than the video name "Python".....
