Oh no! :(

That's truly awful news. I've been watching a lot of Altman recently, too. Man. That sucks.

RIP - I saw him on the Oscars this last year and he wasn't looking well. I loved the Player. Its a shame we'll see no more work from him, but there is a lot of his previous work to enjoy!

A lovely man. RIP.

I'm gonna go see if the flag is at half staff (it was when Wasserman passed away).

I reneged on my self-pledge to see more Altman films following what I thought to be a courageous admission at last year's Oscars.

Sigh, I received a screener of Prairie Home Companion today ... and it will be a bittersweet experience catching up on my Altman knowing that this was the last film he had a chance to make.

I just read that Altman's condition has not improved. He is still dead.

And his last film was a cute bit of slightly meloncholy fluff, with fun performances.

Hmmmm, I kinda wish he'd kicked the bucket after Gosford Park, but that's rather morbid, I guess.
