True Life DVD Signing with Roy Disney

I didn't get much more info beyond he will be speaking and signing the new True Life Adventures DVD at the Barnes and Noble bookstore at the Grove in Los Angeles on December 6th at 7:00 PM.

Might be a great opportunity to meet the legend!!

Will he never be able to shake that stigma? ;)

Anyone who worked that close to Walt is a bit of a legend in my book. Not to mention part of his family, even if by marriage.

While I admire the stuff that Roy Jr. has done, it cannot escape me that Walt disliked him instensely. (He's a blood nephew, btw, nothing to do with marriage.)

As I don't know Roy personally, and allowing for growth and change, I'm certainly an admirer.

But he's no legend .... and the legend didn't like him.

I've seen Roy in person a few times, and the genetic resemblance, both to Roy Sr. and Walt, is eerie, something worth experiencing live if you get the chance. I haven't spoken to him directly, but I've been present as he was speaking to others, and he seemed like a good guy.

I wonder if these discs will contain bonus features of any sort. I'd be especialy keen to hear what Roy and others have to say about the controversial "lemmings off a cliff" episode.

Ooops:blush: I was thinking of Ron Miller, not Roy!

So Walt didn't care for Roy? I never heard that!

I've known so many parents and relatives that doted on the wrong kid while ignoring the better one, and I doubt Walt was any different. However he may have felt about his nephew, I think Roy has been a godsend to the company his uncle and father founded. I understand Walt didn't really care for a hell of a lot of people who contributed to his company's success- does that negate the respect we all give them today? I would be thrilled to meet Roy in person.
