Farting Preacher
 

This is new to me. I laughed my butt off.

Oh yeah, that's been around for a while. That's from before the time of YouTube.

The earliest farting Robert Tilton videos go back to before the internet. I remember a Christmas gathering (HTHBellCaptain was there) back in 1991 at which a VHS tape was shown, featuring the first of these videos.

I find it equally amusing/apalling to watch Tilton even without the sound effects. His characteristic wincing, grimacing, random pauses, and sudden babbling "in tongues" make for truly psychotic viewing. The guy is a crook, and practically flaunts this fact. He is still on the air, still fleecing the desperate and the ignorant to make thousand dollar "vows of faith." (Yes, a thousand dollars is the minimum price of admission to Tilton's heaven!)

Yes, Tilton has seen them, and commented about it on his TV show years ago. (He warned that they were mocking God's messenger, and indicated they would live to regret it.) This might even be on the DVD linked to above.

Well, as I see it, they are mocking the messinger- not the message. I don't think God will be getting revinge for him, and he is an arrogant SOB if that's what he thinks.

Now, taking a farting machine into his church service, well that could be a different story. Funny, but a bad idea.

Absolutely. Tilton is reviled by nearly everyone, even in Evangelical circles. He finds enough suckers to keep him going, but he commands no respect. i saw the earliest such videos in the presence of very devout people who had a great laugh at it precisely because he is such a shady character.

You would have a hard time taking a fart machine into one of his services these days, because he has no church. He only appears on television, and otherwise lays low at his Miami hideout, complete with bodyguards.

Oh, I see. He is too ashamed to be seen in public and only hides behind a camera and body guard. What a shame people have to be like that.

What's truly funny is that I farted while watching that. Didn't know flatulence was contagious, LOL.
