Comet in Broad Daylight!

For the first freaking time in my life we have a comet sitting at a brightness of magnitude -8.8 That's 40 times brighter than venus! Bright enough to be seen in BROAD DAYLIGHT!

and of course it's been totally overcast here for the last week. ARRRRRRGGHHHH!!!

Go out and look for it if you are lucky enough to have a clear sky.

This is truly one not to miss.

I don't see it, but I'm sure it is there and am not being patient enough.

Have you tried looking outside?

I looked for it yesterday but I only got a headache. I'll have to look later. The skies are crystal clear at the moment.

Almost too clear, I just went out for a look and was quickly blinded no matter how much shading of the sun I did.

Ditto. Nice day, though.

The link Moonliner referenced said the best time to look would be at local noon, and that the comet would just be to the left of the sun, about 6 degrees. Since the sun moves at 15 degrees per hour, I think the sun is currently blocking the comet. I'd wait until after local noon, and take another look.
