I Got You Lindyhop!
 

I know other people's dreams are boring, but I thought y'all would appreciate this one.

In my dream I'm at the Oscars in an orchestra box seat near the stage with Dustysage and his partner, Norm. The next award is going to be announced and it's for Best Supporting Dinglecheese in a Motion Picture. (I forget what it was but it's irrelevant.) The presenter is Cher. Cher appears onstage in a stunning white form fitting gown. Instead of going to the podium, she comes up to me and says, "Hey, you. You know ______ aka Lindyhop don't you?"
(She used her real name.)
"Um, yes. Yes I do." I said.
"Good. Call her and tell her to pick me up after the show's over. We're going to an after-Oscars party together." Cher says.
"I will." I said.
She nods her head and begins to read the nominees.
Norm gasps and Dustysage says, "You better go make that call now!"
I run to the lobby and call Lindyhop.
"Hello?"
"Lindyhop?"
"Yes?"
"It's Brad."
"Hi."
"It's Cher. She wants you to pick her up after the Oscars and go to a party with her."
Lindyhop sighs on the other side of the phone and says, "Alright. Sheesh."
Lindyhop's response was like her hearing everyday news about a best friend that she's known for years. Cher and Lindyhop had known each other forever.
Lindyhop thanked me and hung up.
And that was the end of the dream.
In the dream, I wanted to ask both Cher and Lindyhop how they met but figured it was none of my business. I figured they danced together at some point.

Aren't dreams cool?


PS ~ When I told this to Norm this morning, Norm said that he too had a dream about Cher.

Lindyhop's been holding out on us! Maybe she can ask Cher if I can borrow a Bob Mackie gown for the cruise.

It was a Melatonin dream.

You know whats creepy? I had the same EXACT dream last night.

Only instead of Cher, it was George Michael... ;)

In my dream, Gary Busey was asking about a shotgun...

Back when Cher's latest hit was the song "Take Me Home," many of my car-less friends got into the habit of muttering under their breath "Cher's Latest Hit" when they wanted to leave someplace and go home.

So one day I'm closing up the record store and this customer is mulling around the video section and just Will Not Leave. So I wander over in her direction and mutter, none too softly, "<cough> Cher's Latest Hit <cough>"

I guess I caught her attention, because she looked right up at me ... and it was Cher.
