Need Creative Assistance!
I'm getting ready to work on my demo reel for event videography. I’m going to categorize the shots into categories: fun, romance, laughter, tears, etc.
And, in between each category, I want to have a black screen with white lettering that slides across while fading in/out. Here are the options I’m thinking, let me know which works best (vote in the poll, please): 1) Imagine the Laughter/Imagine the Romance/etc. 2) Picture the Laughter/Picture the Romance/etc. 3) See the Laughter/See the Romance/etc. 4) Capture the Laughter/Capture the Romance/etc. 5) Remember the Laughter/Remember the Romance 6) Combo – Capture the Romance/Remember the Laughter/Imagine the Tears/etc. Also, if you have any other ideas/opinions for this, please shout 'em out! :D |
I feel like filming an event is very much about capturing it.
"Imagining" and "picturing" are both about an event in the future. (And although they'll be signing up for an event that's in the future, you're not imagining it for them.) "See" gets closer, but it's not as expressive a word. The same goes for "Remember." Picture, if you will, a glowing fairy box where all of the extraordinary moments of a special day can be plucked and saved. That's your DVD. You're capturing their laughter, their romance, their tears. Oh, ****. I think that my year in advertising has affected the way I think. |

I like remember because isn't that the purpose? To remember the event.

None of the above
Relive the Laughter/Capture the Romance Remember the Laughter/Relive your Romance Recall the Laughter/Cherish your Romance Hear the laughter/ Remember the Romance Remember the Laughter / Then one day Laugh at your Romance |
Does anyone remember laughter?

This is going to be a tough decision. I'm happy I've come to the right place. :) |

I also plan to wrap the video with the end title, "(insert word choice) You". So, think of that too - "Capture You", "Remember You", "Relive You". I want to end it on a personal note, so they will envision themselves in what they just viewed. :) My goal is to provoke as much emotion as possible, so they'll forget the competition. ;) |
As much as the word makes me gag (I'm definitely not in the target demographic for wedding stuff), but Remember or Cherish sound best to me.
Or Oversentimentalize? Pathologically Fetishize? Whoops, sorry, slipped into my dream world again. And I like "<insert word choice> you" at the end. |
