Hero's in a Half Shell

sigh.

Ya, I know I'm a hypocrite because I am excited that Transformers is coming out. But at least that one will have shiny firey explosions.

I'm actually pretty excited for this new TMNT, because it seems to hearken back to the old days when the TMNT was a darker world. Though I loved the cartoon as a kid, looking back and referencing it to the material from which it came, bright green was a far cry from what the turtles were meant to be.

I'm psyched!!

I have an unnatural crush on Raphael. :)

Is Sarah Michelle Gellar looking to make a career of playing the female character of secondary importance in cartoon to film adaptations?

sure....then she cant be blamed if it tanks, but gets to ride high if it doesnt.

Im kinda with blueerica. TMNT was once a fairly dark comic..then came the first movies, which Im ashamed to admit I liked, but was sorely disappointed as to its 'kiddie' take on it all.

I'll check it out. probably wearing dark glasses and a hat, but I'll be there

Say what?

Transformers?

In movie form?

I can't wait to miss it!

I will be there in full glory.

Hahaha...

I grew up with Ninja Turtles. I even centered my 9th birthday around the release of the first movie, which I saw in theatres 5 times.

I even saw the less than perfect sequel a year later!

Of course...when you're a kid, you really could care less about the movie as long as those turtles totally destroy Shredder.

(I do have one complaint about the new TMNT series...I refuse to accept the new Krang. The old Krang was perfect, right up to the squeaky, nails on a chalkboard voice and Transformer like body, which appeared to be made out of Legos. This new Krang is a joke, IMO)

I must admit that my only real memory of TMNT was that the creator got to marry Julie Strain, staple of every horror-fantasy convention.

RStar 03-01-2007 09:38 PM

Wow, did you see how long the Transformers cast list is??

My son was into TMNT as a kid. I was the father of a kid into TMNT.

I feel old all of a sudden.......
