July 17th Expectations...
 

Realistically speaking, what are your expectations for July 17th?

Crowds will be out of control.

Much of the area around any special event will be roped off for VIP's.

Other than just to say you were there, what are you expecting?

Are you making priority seating for your restaurant of choice? Are you planning to steak out a spot for fantasmic at noon?

My expectations....out of control crowding, heat, and fun times with good people.

I also expect the cm in the DCA expresso stand will still look at me like a deer caught in the headlights when I give him/her my latte order.:coffee:

Dito. I just hope the bar's aren't too packed :D

I expect to have one of the funnest times at Disneyland, with hoards of great friends, despite anything official that Disneyland may or may not do. I have had a magical time on every Disneyland Birthday for the past quarter-century, and I expect nothing less from the 50th.

My expectations for what Disneyland itself may do have been steadily declining for the past 20 years, when they twice blew my mind with unforgettable sights and experiences for the 30th Birthday. I'm not gonna hold my breath, but I haven't quite entirely given up hope that something spectacular will happen, the likes of which cannot be contained behind VIP ropes or be blocked by bulky news cameras.

And that's just at the hotel.

I'll be there at opening, I'll save you a seat ;)
