Shoelaces always coming undone?

Dude! I finally learned how to tie my laces so I don't have to tie them over and over!

Kevy Baby 03-11-2007 04:28 PM

Oh great... now I have to learn a new way to tie my shoes.

RStar 03-11-2007 05:38 PM

I haven't had a problem with this since I was 5 years old.....

;)

I've never had to tie them over and over, though I always get the "crooked bow" look... I book marked it so maybe next time I happen to tie shoes and think about it, I can do it then.. heh

According to them I try my shoes wrong (I'll blame being left handed). But I also don't have any problem with them coming untied all of the time. Except for a certain type of lace used in some dress shoes.

Heh, meanwhile, I'm the lefty of us two and I tie mine "correctly".

I just double knot mine. It's worked for a long, long time.
:)

I'll try it for fun, though.

Since it prompted a poll, I want to be clear that it was meant as an "out of left field" facetious excuse. I don't really think being left handed would affect my ability to tie shoelaces.

I think you are right, Alex. After all, as long as the directions are followed you should come out with the same result no matter which hand is favored.

Maybe I can change some kids' lives then ;) I am currently trying (and trying and trying) to teach a 5 year old boy to tie his shoes. He so totally can't get it yet and it frustrates me to no end. I already tie them "correctly."
