I don't remember 3rd grade being so tough.

Wow, this makes me so sad. All I had to worry about growing up was not talking to strangers.

Nickolas has been dealing with gangs and gang mentality at his school for years. This year has been particularly brutal. I now take a really late lunch so that I can pick him up from school, due to the group of boys that seem to wait for him at least once a week.

We've had a problem in Headliner's (aka moonie junior) school. A 2nd grader that required the other parents to get a restraining order from. Besides the obvious problems with the parents, the school is deliberately trying to escalate the issue up to the police/courts so they can get this kid removed from school and not be responsible for him anymore.
