iTunes Help
I'm trying to download the free stuff, and it's not working. It didn't work last week, either. I haven't tried for months before this.
When I tell it to go ahead and download, I get a box that says that it's connecting to the store. This hangs around for a minute, maybe less, and then I get an error message claiming "the network connection timed out." The advice this window gives is the standard make sure you have an internet connection business. I'm on the internet. It's dialup, but that's never been a problem before (downloads are slow, but that's all). So what gives? Does this mean I finally have to download the newest version of iTunes it keeps asking me to get? Has iTunes cut me off from the free stuff, hoping I will pay instead? If I never download from iTunes again, I won't be heartbroken. But if somone's got a way to fix this, it'd be great! |
I think it is the new version issues. I had the same problem before I downloaded the latest plug

Yeah, you probably just need to Update. Also, you might want to check your preferences - connection tab to make sure you have the correct internet connection selected, but I'm sure that it's probably just the older version that you're running that's the issue.

I found the preferences thing, but there's not connection tab.
Guess I'll have to update one of these days. Sigh. |
What I find amazing is that you're on dial-up! Silly me, I thought everyone had broadband. I have no patience, that's true.
I think I'd have PC rage if I were stuck using a dial up connection. ;) |
