Stuff is missing on the Jungle Cruise

Not that this is exactly earth-shattering information but I thought I would share.

We were at the park tonight and rode the JC (in the rain at night, which I love). We noticed that all of the baboons on the rocks were missing. Also, the guys climbing the pole to escape the rhino are gone, as well as the pole.

Has anyone heard anything about whether this is just routine maintenence or if they are adding or updating anything? Seeing as how they have made changes to both the HM and Splash, it seems like it might be a possibility.

TJC is under a current refurb project... my bet is these features you mention are just getting a spruce up and will returm to their home when completed.

FYI, here is a current refurb list, with TJC listed last. hope this helps.

I wonder how they will reopen the Tomorrowland Station without opening the DLRR.

That's gonna be one heck of a wait for a train! :D

That would be spectacular!

What was interesting was hearing the CM try to come up with something amusing to say about a lone rhino sitting there.

There's some hilarious footage on "Crocodile Hunter" where they are taping a group of crocks feeding on a hippo and another hippo that had been dead for a while has started to decompose and has ballooned up. It just goes floating by on the river behind the oblivious crocs.

Sounds gross and sad, but the image was hilarious.

What did he say?

"Wow, would you look at that--that's a loooooot of rocks."

Grumpy4 and I were there on Friday night, too, and our skipper didn't say anything at all, just drove on past without a word. That crocodile where the gorilla has the banana, the "here's something you don't see everyday" part, was also missing. And it seemed like there were fewer gorillas in the camp as well.

The JC needs a lot of cleanup after that last big rain. You can see all that bamboo that is falling over. The rain this week can only be making it worse, so it's good that it is closing, as much as I will miss it.
