Happy Mother's Day!

My two little gifts and their Daddy woke me up with a heart shaped sugar cookie, the most inedible muffins ever (though made with love!) and a wallet I already owned with two dollars in it from Indi. All presented with a hand made card with crayon scribbled all over it. I love being a mom. :D

To the other mom's (and dad's) on the list, I give the gift of this link. www.enjoyparenting.com. This guy sends out short emails each day (he calls it the Daily Groove) with inspirational messages about connection, enjoyment, etc. It helps me get the most out of this amazing journey called parenthood. (My sig line quote is from that site.)

Happy Mom's Day to all!

I got totally spoiled today- Tori gave me a cool necklace, part of a mom/daughter duo. She also gave me a mom/daughter figurine and made me a picture which her grandma had framed.:)

I also got a new set of luggage in prep for our trip!

That sure is a lot of names, KB. Does she call one by anothers' name just like my mom did to us? ;) {and I do to mine}

I was surprised last night with my gifts. I didn't give out any hints or anything but I received some pretty cool things. My daughter took me for coffee at her favorite Vegan bakery this morning, my older son gave me the movie 'music and lyrics' {as he knows I am a big fan of both Hugh and Drew and these types of movies} and the Hubster and the Boy gave me a cell phone {mine is lost, has been for some time, although, it has to be in this house!!} as well as a new iPod shuffle!! Bright pink. For me. I have the big video one but Hubster has one and I love it and it is great for working out.

Went to see my Mom. She said 'Oh, you have two kids, right?' and I said 'No, mom, three' and she said 'Well, I have nine!!!' to which I said 'I know, and I am the ninth and pretty happy to be here'.

To every mom, mom to be, aunt, big sis, any female that has taken a positive role in another persons life, Happy Mothers Day. :)

Visited Mom in the hospital today - she's looking good all things considered and will likely be back home tomorrow. While certainly she hated the circumstances, I think she was happy to have the family around her today. She often complains about occasions such as Mother's day and actively campaigns against their observance. Today her only complaint was that when her sister went to the hospital (in Switzerland) she got Champagne with her breakfest. I see a Champagne brunch in my mother's future...
