I need help from animation geeks
 

Okay, I'm interviewing JB Kaufman at the end of the month for my podcast. The area of discussion will be silent film era animation, it will encompass Disney, Winsor McKay, Out of the Inkwell and whatever else comes to mind.

I'm trying to come up with some logical and interesting questions.

In the immortal words of The Fly, help me!

How about, "If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?"

Why does Garfield talk yet Odie does not ?

Do you have Michael Barrier's "Hollywood Cartoons: American Animation in Its Golden Age" or Donald Crafton's "Before Mickey"? If you browse through either book - you might get some good ideas.
