More Star Wars in the works?
 

I have to admit, I thought we were done with the Star Wars movies. Done, finished, over and out...

But now comes "official" word from Lucasfilms. From no less a person than Mr. Steven Sansweet the head of Lucas fims fan relations, who when asked about two potential new moves said, and I quote "No, no, no, no."
No way no how, no new movies ever. Period.

Damn. I really thought the franchise was dead as far as new theatrical releases went now I'm not so sure.

yup. nothing confirms a rumor like adamant denial

I thought the two new films that Lucas mentioned a couple weeks ago were going to be 1-hour TV movies (I believe those are called "pilots" by most other people).

They were, they are, but you know how the Internet is.... It took no time at all for the rumors to make the jump to lightspeed and presto it's movies in the works.

It's just the strength of the denial that I found interesting.

As long as George Lucas lives, there will always be another Star Wars movie in the works.

and after hes gone...maybe even a good one.

Hmm...

So if we knock off George, we can be assured that there won't be another one? Or might someone then make Episode 7 saying that is what George would have wanted?

A live action drama??? What??? Do we have more riveting dialog about sand vs soft skin to look forward to? At least the c-gen series it will attain Lucas' dream - no live actors in frame. Perhaps this show will focus entirely on the traffic outside the windows?
