Knott's Sierra Sidewinder is now open
As of today, Knott's Berry Farm has a new family coaster- a Mack built spinning coaster, with a sensible 42" height requirement (for whatever stupid reason imaginable, Jaguar has a 48" height requirement so that was a bit of a concern.) Anyway, early word is the ride is a ton of fun, and it has lot's of spinning and moderate forces. The thing I can't wait to see is the onride videos - each car has a video camera, the dvd booth is still under construction, so it'll be a lil bit before we get to see that.
Anyway, there's a youtube video of the ride in operation - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOBGVLNHMU0 Have fun :) |
This opened today? Or yesterday? {Friday} Ooo!! Okay, but tell me, do the cars spin around???? I am assuming so by the shape and what I could tell from the video {thank you for providing that, btw}.
Oh man, now I want to go. Our passes expire next month, I think. I just noticed your avatar; is that the lion from the Bugs Bunny cartoon that says 'I don't want no teeeeee....'? Or is it a Disney lion? |
My avatar (as of posting this) is Pete Puma :)

Okay, so I have the 'tea' thing right but is it not with Bugs? Now I am feeling a bit unsure. I need more time to watch cartoons. :D
|
His first (and only classic appearance) was in the 1952 short, "Rabbit's Kin".
He's voiced by the legendary Stan Freburg. |
I will have to go to the links I got when I googled.
What I remember, from what I can remember, is Bugs Bunny {or someone} who keeps offering him tea to distract him. 'How many lumps would you like? One, or two?' and after the first couple of times he says 'I don't want no tea...' Now, this could definitely be an imitation..... Trying to figure out a day to go to Knotts' that is also not blocked at Disneyland. Great to see the new coaster and the new Island at DL. |
You're right, MouseWife, that's the cartoon.

Thanks, GD, and thanks CoasterMatt for using such a cool avatar.
I used to watch Bugs Bunny every single Saturday morning. {we won't say how many years ago...} My big brother was home on leave and so he was given priority to the t.v. He came in and said 'Hey, squirt, Ma said I get the t.v.' then he saw what I was watching and said 'Oh, never mind. I'll watch this with you.' I loved them all. I am going to have to google how many BB cartoons there were.... |
