Special Stuff

I've done the Fantasmic Buffet, I know about the "Walking in Walts footsteps" the "Mysteries and Legends" Tours and all the character meals but is that it or are there other special things that the general pubic can attend?

You can run through the drawbridge, hands raised, yelling the words uttered on opening day. At least, I've heard of people doing this. ;)

after dinner at Napa Rose*, collect 2 champagne Flutes or a Crystal Frame from Arribas Bros, a limited edition commemorative pin and head to Eureka Springs for a relaxing Spa Treatment at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel by adding the "Romance Package" to your Disney Resort Magic Vacation!

* choice includes dinner at Granville's or the Vineyard Room.

très romantique:snap:

In a different direction, you can watch Fantasmic! from "backstage" and see the Pirate Monkees.

You can discover Walt's Little Friend.

One used to be able to watch the Tink Taco, but alas, no more.

I would assume that's a refrence to the friends statue as viewed from the bridge to adventureland. Viewed from that angle, well you can guess the rest.

Actually, Frontierland, but yeah.

The Grand Californian offers a free guided tour of the Hotel. Well worth it if you have even the slightest interest in the California Craftsman style of architecture.

The Bank of Main Street will give you a free penny to press in their machine.

City Hall offers a birthday phone call from Mickey or Goofy for the asking. They'll also give you a special sticker that will let everyone else in the park know that you're a big enough geek to wear a sticker saying it's your birthday! (I have known it to have magical free cookie and front-of-the-line powers)

NO NO NO!

It's "Inspired by the Famed Arts and Crafts Movement in California"! Silly goose.;)

I believe this has ended since whatever bank it was that was there (Union Bank?) left.

Font of disinformation, I am.

Okay, fine. Well worth it if you have even the slightest interest in the "Inspired by the Famed Arts and Crafts Movement in California."

And I say, go into that bank and DEMAND a penny. See what they do. Just the sort of free experience every guest at Disneyland can have, but isn't in the guidebook. You'll get to see the famed "Mickey Mouse Jail" and you can have your friends paged over the Park-wide PA system without having a medical emergency.
