Smile! You'er on google camera!

Has anyone else tried google maps new street view?

In addition to the satellite view you can now pan around a street level view of some areas.

A tad spooky.

A free dole whipp to the first Swanker that spots themselves!

So far it seems to be just parts of: San Fran, Vegas, Denver, Miami, and New York.

Hmmm - is that integrated with Google Earth?

Considering how much I'm out and about in my City, I think i should care more about what I wear.

It looks like just google maps for the moment but I expect that will change with time.

Spooky but fascinating. Are the views published here vetted by Google? (Have they made sure there aren't going to be any surprise nekkid peoples for us cyber-voyeurs?) Will these be updated, and if so, will I be notified on what day I should stay in?

Or in the case of at least a few folks here, what day to be outside.

Perhaps I could place a large copyrighted sign on my font lawn and then sue them for publishing it.

It appears that they are all on city streets. While sharper legal minds than I would know better, I believe that one can have pictures from the streets without issue. I'm just wondering what was involved with capturing all these images. This would be a LOT of imagery.

This may be old, but use Google maps for driving directions from San Francisco, CA to Athens, Greece or Moscow, Russia

Makes me want to watch The End of Violence again. I know there's a site that has LA traffic pictures, perhaps those will be networked with existing security cams and home webcams for good measure. Privacy is a myth.
